Welcome to the SBCSL Youth and Family Program

Exploration, Respect, Curiosity

A Virtues Based Curriculum
We teach a virtues based curriculum that is created by our families, youth volunteers, congregation and children. We explore different religions, family styles, philosophies and cultures with respect and curiosity. We never teach children what to think, we give every child space and encouragement to explore what they think, and value their thoughts and ideas exponentially.
Sunday Youth Classes
Join us at 11:00am – we have plenty of space and learning activities from toddlers to teens!
Where Families Come Together
We have free family nights which include a movie, dinner and opportunity to connect with other families. We also host themed *Kids Only* nights so that parents can have a night out. For mothers we have an ongoing “Mom’s Group” that meets the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month to explore motherhood and parenting (child care is provided). SBCSL offers an array of classes, many of which we offer evening childcare for. We also offer affordable youth summer camps and have national CSL teen summer camps. Once a month we have a Youth Wednesday night service where elementary and junior high school aged children can explore prayer and meditation.
*Due to COVID-19, our Mom’s Group and in-person classes have been temporarily postponed.
Our Mission
The Namaste’ and Seal Beach Center for Spiritual living Youth Church creates a safe and supportive space for spiritual exploration. Encouraged with love, excited by creativity, music, food and fun, each child is embraced with an open heart, listened to and included.
Loving, respectful, and creative individuals supported in their spiritual growth, community support, and family connections.
Our Vision
Meet Our Youth Director

Wenda Arcala
Wenda Arcala, RScP, has served with the SBCSL youth since 2016. She started volunteering a couple Sundays a month and was soon there every weekend as the lead teen advisor. Wenda loved taking the teens to CSL camp in the local Southern California mountains every summer and winter. It was there on the mountain top that she received the calling to become a Licensed Spiritual Practitioner. With much study and life changing work she became a Practitioner in June 2021.
Wenda is a mother of two incredible adult children. She has a nurturing character and has always been drawn to children of all ages. She has a passion for developing their confidence, love of self, and appreciation of life. She believes it is important to show this new generation many ways to use our Science of Mind principles to navigate and enhance their lives. Her favorite aspect about working with the children is the pure, unfiltered wisdom that pours from their lips.
Wenda is committed to her daily spiritual practices which center her in her true nature of peace and love. This allows her to show up fully present to serve in her highest capacity for the youth, volunteers, parents, and congregation. Wenda is deeply honored to have this opportunity to continue to support and even grow our amazing SBCSL Youth Program.
