Your Own Good Seeks To Come To You

Rev. Nicole Von Atsingen, Co-Senior Minister

I am excited to share with you that beginning October 25th, we will begin our annual pledge drive. I realize that excited might be a word most wouldn’t use to describe the pledge drive but when you think about when we make a pledge It’s like a sacred covenant not only to consciously supporting a community but to practicing the law of supply to knowing your own prosperity and abundance in advance. Which is basically a prayer in action.

According to the law of supply, your own good seeks to come to you and will continue to flow abundantly towards you if you do not block the flow by negative thought and action. When you become a true believer and are positive and outgoing in your faith, thinking your best, doing your best, and being your best, the law of generous supply starts working. Then God can activate your good, which it provides, and sends it flowing unhindered to you.

We cannot afford to hold personal animosities or enmities against the world or individual members of society.

We Are SBCSL

What the Divine called fourth this year is the recognition that, WE ARE SBCSL. Each one of us in our homes, in our separate spaces, in our own little nooks and corners of the world are invited to proudly speak our word with spiritual conviction affirming to the world I am SBCSL. I am SBCSL. Why? Because we know that a community is not its walls and floors and stage and youth rooms and offices and fellowship halls and parking lots.

It is every one of us who takes the Science of Mind philosophy, faith, and way of life into our hearts, minds, lives, and becomes it. We Are SBCSL.

“Belief at the beginning of a doubtful undertaking is the one thing that will guarantee the success of anything.
– William James –

You Were Born For This

At the beginning of this year we set an intention for 20/20 vision: To bring our spiritual vision into focus. When we tell the universe what we want, it always says yes. With that, have certainly been given the opportunity to go into the sacred caves of our lives, reflect, purge and allow the material to fade as Truth is revealed. That is what this year has given us so far. It is clear to me that we are in the midst of a spiritual revolution. Perhaps you were born for such a time as this. Esther 4:14. Cosmic consciousness is no longer urging but is now demanding we live by Truth alone.

William James was, in my opinion, was not only a great influence on the New Thought movement but one of the wisest men to have lived. In studying him what I’ve learned is that it’s not our thoughts alone and not our feelings or our emotions alone that pre-determine the outcome of a situation but he says, “Belief at the beginning of a doubtful undertaking is the one thing that will guarantee the success of anything.” The one thing that guarantees success is not knowledge not education not training not experience not money. It is belief. James also says, “Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living and your belief will help create that fact”.

I have incredibly good news to share with you all. As we move into the last quarter of the year, despite all appearances and world adversity, We, Seal Beach Center for Spiritual Living are thriving. We are as financially stable as we were at this time last year. Because of this I am excited about our bright future and feel confident in pledging my financial commitment to our Jewel by the Sea for 2021.

We are SBCSL, with a new sense of Belonging, with new pathways for connection, with new ways of learning, and with many ways of giving.

On Moving Forward

Beloved, I urge you to conduct yourselves with such honor among the Gentiles that, though they slander you as evil doers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God“. 1 Peter 2:11

We live in a paradox between two worlds. One is known as Maya, the world of illusion. The other is a divine reality, governed by spiritual laws. As metaphysicians, we must remember we are at choice and no matter the appearance we can choose love, dignity and humanity, over fear, scarcity, hatred, or malice.  There is always a power and presence loving and caring for us, we are safe and secure in the arms of God…no matter what.

With Love,
Rev. Nicole

Nicole is the Co-Senior Minister at the Seal Beach Centers for Spiritual Living. Her ministry is to remind humanity of its inherent Goodness. One word to describe Nicole is enthusiastic, she is filled with Spirit and loves to share it. She is also a fourth-generation Religious Scientist who admittedly, although growing up in the Science of Mind philosophy, had to walk away for a few years in order to discover the truth of our philosophy in her own life.
