Youth News – April 2020
Lisa Ortiz, Youth Director
Hello Dear Families, I am reaching out with a BIG HUG (virtually) to all of you. I miss you all soooooo much! It is really hard to be apart and not see you at Youth Church. So if you are feeling lonely or sad please call me anytime. If you’re little you can ask your caregiver to ring me up on the telephone like we used to do in the “olden” days. While we are apart please remember that together we form a spiritual community, and one thing that is so cool about belonging to a spiritual community is that even when we are apart we are together. So…. when I am sad from missing you, I say a special prayer for each one of you. What are some of the ways you have been spending this extra time at home? Please send me any funny stories, jokes or riddles that you would like to share to my email: sealbeachyouth@gmail.com and I will reply with a story or joke of my own!!!
Sending Lots of love,
Miss Lisa
Did You Know…
Studies have shown that talking to your plants really help them grow faster. Since we are all at home we can use this occasion to enjoy the nature around us. Now is a great time to plant seeds, or a flowering plant or even a whole garden. If you are growing something and feel like talking, singing or just hanging out in the garden, its a great way to have quiet alone time and experience nature.
We love you and can’t wait to see you again!
