May Council Update

Dear Fellow Congregants
I would like to start with a prayer:
I stand firmly in knowing that there is just one power, one presence back of all creation. This God essence is always present and always available, so I now take time to step back and take a deep breath as I remember that God is my source and as I take another deep breath I breathe in the peace of God that is always available.
Our Council is working diligently to deal with the probable reduction of income as we move through this difficult time. While auto tithes will continue, there will be no Sunday collection. Please know that you may give to our Jewel By the Sea by clicking “Give Today” at the top of the page. The “Give Today” page gives you our mailing address (if you wish to mail your gift) or you can use your credit card through PayPal. You can also give via “Text to Tithe” on your smart phone. Our council is meeting via Zoom and doing our best to be good stewards of our funds while supporting our congregation.
Our primary communication during this time is going to be via e-mail. Please check your e-mail regularly. We are now broadcasting our Sunday Service at 10:00 a.m. via “Zoom” and Facebook. You can go on Facebook anytime you want to. Nicole will send an e-mail invitation to join see the service live on “Zoom”. She will also send instructions on how to use Zoom”
The good news is that construction is allowed to continue and so while we are out of the sanctuary so the new flooring will be installed. We will come back to brand new floors.

Marjorie Wray, RScP
Marjorie Wray has been in the Science of Mind community since 1985 when she started attending Huntington Beach CSL. In 2015, she joined Seal Beach Center for Spiritual Living, bringing her Practitioner License she’s held since 2012. Marjorie has extensive leadership experience in key areas that help keep our center running smoothly. From leading the Usher Teams, coordinating fund raisers and events, to serving on the SBCSL Leadership Council as Chair, Marjorie makes herself available to serve in whatever capacity she can that will assist those around her in community and personal growth. With a BA in Education an MA in Psychology, 18 years of experience teaching Financial Planning, and more, Marjorie brings her professional expertise and spiritual principles together to serve through one of her greatest strengths; “to see the bigger picture and integrate the pieces”.
