Deepening Our Soulful Roots

Rev. Nicole Atzinggen

“Whether we can wake up or not depends on whether we can walk mindfully on our Mother Earth. The future of all life, including our own,
depends on our mindful steps.”
– Thich Nhat Hanh –

As I prepare for an exciting new experience, being one of two closing night keynote speakers at the Centers for Spiritual Living convention on March 7th; I have been thinking a lot about what it took for me to get where I am today. This ponderance led me to consider all the brilliant, crazy, beautifully original, people who contributed to the Science of Mind Philosophy which has helped so many of us heal and reveal.

The courage and wherewithal to have opened up their minds, to a new way of thinking, when all around them doctrine was deeply pushed upon , conjoining with government and society. Just thinking about it amazes me and inspires a flame of Divine inspiration and originality to pour through me.

Some of the soul food we will be serving up this month is from the original transcendentalist, Ralph Waldo Emerson who once wrote, “What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.”

Also, Thomas Troward, who took the unexplainable and clearly logically explained it. He said, “We can gradually grow into any condition we desire, provided we first make ourselves in habitual mental attitude the person who corresponds to those conditions.”

And then we will move to the mystic herself, who is also known as the teacher of teachers, Emma Curtis Hopkins. She wrote, “There is a self-supporting power in the Holy Spirit which, when you let it operate unhindered through you, leads straight to your substantial support.”

From there we will look at the great revelations of Phineas Parker Quimby. He once said, “I found I was the very idea I was looking for.”

And lastly, we will finish up with the inspiration of Ernest Holmes who reminds us to, “Prepare your mind to receive the best that life has to offer. “

I am so looking forward to journeying through our deep soulful roots with you as we move consciously, lovingly through March together.

Love,
Rev. Nicole

Nicole is the Co-Senior Minister at the Seal Beach Centers for Spiritual Living. Her ministry is to remind humanity of its inherent Goodness. One word to describe Nicole is enthusiastic, she is filled with Spirit and loves to share it. She is also a fourth-generation Religious Scientist who admittedly, although growing up in the Science of Mind philosophy, had to walk away for a few years in order to discover the truth of our philosophy in her own life.
